Designed with a very efficient space program, the ProMedica Genito-Urinary Surgeons group (GUS) medical office building and surgery center consists of eight clinical “PODS”, diagnostic imaging, patient prep and recovery, and six ORs. As a result of this efficiency and limited space, we were challenged with creating moments of interest through points of interaction and key design features. These elements were integral in the patient’s journey and wayfinding. In addition, it was important to incorporate ProMedica’s branding, but still provide GUS with a unique identity.
